Hyundai launches IONIQ 3 electric hatchback in Europe
Hyundai has expanded its electric vehicle lineup with the launch of the IONIQ 3, a compact electric hatchback designed for the European market. Developed in Europe and manufactured at the Hyundai Motor Türkiye plant in İzmit, the model features an “Aero Hatch” design characterized by a wedge-shaped silhouette and high rear end to optimize aerodynamics and interior space.
The IONIQ 3 is available with two battery options: a 42.2 kWh standard range and a 61 kWh long range. The standard version offers approximately 344 km of autonomy, while the long-range variant provides up to 497 km (and up to 687 km in urban settings according to WLTP). The vehicle utilizes a 400V architecture and includes the Pleos Connect infotainment system.
In addition to the IONIQ 3, Hyundai has introduced the Staria Electric, an electric MPV featuring an 84 kWh battery, 160 kW motor, and 800V architecture capable of 200 kW charging. The Staria Electric is positioned as a comfortable, quiet option for passengers, offering up to 9 seats in certain configurations.
