Hyundai launches 2027 Ioniq 9 with premium Calligraphy Black Ink trim in Italy

Hyundai has introduced the 2027 model year of its flagship electric SUV, the Ioniq 9, to the Italian market. The launch adds a new top‑level Calligraphy Black Ink trim, featuring an all‑black exterior styling package with 21‑inch Black Ink alloy wheels, matte‑black front logo, glossy black rear hatch and black‑finished exterior details. Inside, the trim offers Nappa black leather seats, a black‑treated aluminium dashboard, and a panoramic electric roof.

All Ioniq 9 variants retain a 110 kWh battery delivering up to 620 km of WLTP range. Power output ranges from 218 hp (160 kW) in the entry‑level Business model to 428 hp (315 kW) in the AWD Performance version, which is the only configuration available for the Calligraphy Black Ink edition. The SUV seats seven, includes 5G‑enabled eCall, the Next Generation eCall emergency system, and Hyundai SmartSense driver‑assistance suite.

Pricing in Italy starts at €70,600 for the Business model and reaches €87,000 for the Calligraphy Black Ink AWD Performance trim. Additional equipment levels such as XClass add larger wheels, Matrix LED headlights, Bose audio and digital mirrors, while the new Business‑XClass variants now provide heated seats in the third row.
