Hyundai launches Ioniq 3 EV and teases Ioniq 6 sedan for Turkish market

Hyundai announced the standard‑version Ioniq 3 compact hatchback, built at its İzmit plant in Turkey and slated for export to more than 40 countries. Production is scheduled to begin in August 2026 with sales expected in September 2026. The vehicle is equipped with a 42.2 kWh battery delivering a WLTP range of 344 km (long‑range version 496 km), 0‑100 km/h in 9 seconds, and features such as aerodynamic “Aero Hatch” bodywork, LED “Morse‑code H” headlights, a hidden 119‑liter “Megabox” storage compartment and Android Automotive OS with Gleo AI voice assistant.

Separately, Hyundai has started a countdown for the Ioniq 6 sedan, highlighting its ultra‑low drag coefficient of 0.21. Two battery options are offered: a 53 kWh pack with a 429 km WLTP range and a 77.4 kWh pack reaching 519 km. The model supports 800 V ultra‑fast charging (10‑80 % in 15‑18 minutes) and a high‑performance version accelerates from 0‑100 km/h in 5.1 seconds. Prices in Turkey are projected between 2.37 million TL and 4 million TL, depending on specifications and tax brackets.
