Hyundai launches IONIQ 6 N high‑performance electric sedan
Hyundai has unveiled the IONIQ 6 N, an electric sedan that delivers up to 650 horsepower, 770 Nm of torque and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, with a top speed of 260 km/h. Developed by Hyundai Motorsport, the model features a re‑engineered chassis, specialized suspension and an electronic limited‑slip differential to provide a more engaging driving feel compared with conventional electric cars.
Separately, engineers at Germany’s Otto von Guericke University in Magdeburg have demonstrated that incorporating fine particles of recycled tire rubber into the cavities of power‑electronics components can cut interior noise in electric vehicles by as much as 6.5 decibels and reduce vibrations by up to 9.7 decibels. The approach uses the granular material to absorb energy before it becomes audible, offering a lightweight, circular‑economy solution for improving EV acoustic comfort.
