Hyundai launches STARIA Cargo electric light commercial vehicle
Hyundai has introduced the STARIA Cargo, an all-electric light commercial vehicle designed specifically for the European market. The vehicle features an 800-volt electrical architecture, which allows the battery to charge from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 20 minutes.
Equipped with an 84 kWh battery, the STARIA Cargo offers a driving range of up to 450 kilometers according to WLTP standards. The electric powertrain delivers 160 kW (218 hp) and 350 Nm of torque. Designed for professional utility, the van provides a payload capacity of 1,040 kg, a towing capacity of up to 2,000 kg, and a cargo area capable of accommodating three Euro pallets.
Xavier Martinet, CEO of Hyundai Motor Europe, stated that the vehicle was developed so that companies do not have to choose between electrification and productivity, emphasizing the combination of high efficiency with essential load and towing capabilities.
