Hyundai Motor Company launches Ho Tzu Nyen exhibition in New York and Ulsan
Hyundai Motor Company has announced the second installment of its ‘Hyundai Translocal Series,’ featuring artist Ho Tzu Nyen. The exhibition is a collaborative project between the New Museum in New York and the Ulsan Museum of Art in South Korea.
The exhibition will run at the New Museum from September 24, 2025, through January 24, 2027, followed by a run at the Ulsan Museum of Art from October 22, 2025, to February 21, 2027. The project aims to explore translocal themes through joint research, new commissions, and cross-cultural exchange.
Ho Tzu Nyen, a Singapore-born artist, will present site-specific works in both cities. At the New Museum, the piece ‘P for Power: Up Down’ will utilize AI-based algorithms on elevator screens to create an evolving visual experience. In Ulsan, the immersive installation ‘P for Power: Double Life of P’ will utilize the museum’s XR Lab, incorporating data collected from local industry, technology, and sound to explore the dynamics of power.
