Hyundai Motor releases documentary on 12-year history of Motorstudios
Hyundai Motor Company has released a feature-length documentary titled ‘The Studio: From Space on Wheels to Space on Land’, chronicling the 12-year evolution of Hyundai Motorstudio. Since its inception in Seoul in 2014, the brand culture spaces have expanded beyond vehicle showrooms to become hubs connecting people, culture, and local communities, attracting over 1.3 million visitors annually.
Directed by Jung Da-un, the film explores the architectural philosophy and cultural impact of six global locations, including Seoul, Hanam, Goyang, Busan, Beijing, and Indonesia’s Senayan Park. The documentary features perspectives from designers, architects, operators, and visitors to highlight how these spaces have grown in meaning over time.
To coincide with the film's release, Hyundai Motorstudio Busan will host a special exhibition titled ‘Hyundai Motorstudio Archive: 12 Years of Records’ from early October through January. The company also plans to donate six archive books containing sketches and project insights to various libraries and art institutions.
