Hyundai targets taxi market with Ioniq 5 conversion discounts

Hyundai is implementing strategies to increase the adoption of the Ioniq 5 electric vehicle within the taxi industry. In Germany, the company has reduced the costs for professional taxi conversions, with packages now starting at 1,000 euros, representing a saving of 490 euros compared to previous rates. Working with specialist INTAX, the conversion package includes light ivory coloring, taximeter preparation, roof signage, radio technology, and mandatory emergency alarms.

To support fleet operators, Hyundai has also partnered with TAXI-RENT to provide replacement vehicles during maintenance or repairs, aiming to minimize revenue loss caused by vehicle downtime.

In the Danish market, the Ioniq 5 is being highlighted as a practical choice for families and businesses due to its spacious interior, modern technology, and fast charging capabilities. Local dealers are emphasizing the availability of used models to provide more accessible entry points for consumers seeking sustainable transport solutions.
