Hyundai Thanh Cong begins exporting Vietnam-assembled vehicles to Mexico and Australia

Hyundai Thanh Cong (HTC) has officially launched the export of vehicles assembled in Vietnam to new markets, including Mexico and Australia. The first shipment features the Hyundai Creta, marking the model's debut in the Latin American market.

For 2026, HTC plans to export a total of 15,280 units, consisting of 10,160 fully assembled vehicles and 5,120 component sets. In addition to Mexico and Australia, the company is also expanding its reach to Taiwan. This expansion follows previous export activities to markets such as South Korea, Peru, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Kazakhstan.

Company leadership noted that meeting the stringent technical, safety, and emission standards of Mexico and Australia demonstrates the growing technological and manufacturing capabilities of Vietnam's automotive industry. Looking toward the long term, HTC aims to expand into the Middle East, Africa, Central America, South America, and Russia between 2027 and 2029, with a goal of becoming a global export hub by 2030.
