Hyundai to export Vietnam-assembled Tucson to Australia

Hyundai plans to export the Tucson BLK Edition, manufactured in Vietnam, to the Australian market. The new model is expected to arrive at Australian dealerships between October and December 2026.

Positioned between the Elite and Premium trims, the BLK Edition will feature a hybrid powertrain and front-wheel drive. While official pricing has not been released, estimates suggest a range between 48,350 and 50,850 AUD. The vehicle is expected to feature blacked-out exterior and interior accents, similar to the Night Edition models found in North America.

This move marks the first time a vehicle produced in Vietnam will be officially sold in Australia. By utilizing Vietnamese production, Hyundai Australia aims to diversify its supply chain without impacting existing production capacities in South Korea. Due to existing free trade agreements between Vietnam and Australia, the shift in supply source is not expected to incur additional import duties.
