Hyundai Ioniq V electric sedan enters pre-sale in China

Beijing Hyundai has opened pre-sales for the Ioniq V, an electric fastback sedan specifically developed for the Chinese market. The commercial launch is scheduled for September 29, 2026.

Pre-sale prices range from 119,900 yuan (approximately $17,600) to 139,900 yuan (approximately $20,600) across three trim levels. The vehicle is built on the E-GMP architecture and features a 2,900 mm wheelbase.

The Ioniq V will offer two battery options provided by CATL using lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry, with capacities of 53.5 kWh and 66.8 kWh. Depending on the configuration, the driving range is estimated between 520 km and 650 km under the Chinese CLTC cycle. Power outputs include 140 kW (188 hp) and 168 kW (225 hp) versions.
