Hyundai unveils redesigned Elantra sedan with aggressive styling

Hyundai has introduced a completely new generation of the Elantra (known as Avante in South Korea). The redesign departs from the previous soft‑line look, featuring sharp edges, a wide front LED light strip, lower‑mounted headlights, pronounced fenders and a lower roof line that give the midsize sedan a more upscale, athletic appearance. The rear receives a new lamp design and a reshaped trunk lid, while the interior is updated with a fully digital instrument cluster, a large infotainment screen and upgraded materials.

Alongside the visual overhaul, Hyundai confirmed development of a high‑performance N version of the Elantra. The N model will use a brand‑new internal‑combustion engine—potentially a larger 2.5‑litre unit—aimed at delivering 320–330 hp, exceeding the current 276 hp twin‑charged 2.0‑litre engine. The N variant will also incorporate more aggressive bodywork and aerodynamic elements. No official launch date or detailed power figures have been disclosed, and the company has not confirmed whether the new Elantra will be sold in Europe, though hybrid variants are expected to target key markets.
