I/38 road repairs cause traffic delays near Havlíčkův Brod

Road repairs on the I/38 highway between Skuhrov and Havlíčkův Brod have reached the edge of the city, causing significant traffic congestion and access issues. The current construction phase, designated as stage 3B, is scheduled to continue until October 5.

During this period, vehicle access is restricted to a new cemetery and an OMV gas station. Public transport services to the new cemetery have also been suspended, forcing visitors to travel on foot.

Following this, stage 3A will begin on October 6 and is expected to last until October 19. This next phase will involve work on the opposite side of the roadway, which will change the traffic regime but eventually restore vehicle access to the previously restricted locations. The project, managed by the Road and Motorway Directorate (ŘSD), involves the repair of a 7.5-kilometer section of the road that handles approximately 9,000 vehicles daily.
