British Columbia courts issue sentences for various criminal offenses
Several individuals in British Columbia have faced sentencing or guilty pleas in recent court proceedings.
In Penticton Provincial Court, Adam Drake Krushelnicki pleaded guilty to charges including aggravated assault and robbery following an incident in Keremeos where he attacked his mother, causing her a significant head injury. He also faced charges for failing to appear on a release order and breaching a curfew.
In Quesnel, Colton Silas Stump was sentenced to 12 months in jail and two years of probation for sexual offenses committed against a 12-year-old girl in 2019. Due to time served, he served one day of custodial sentence.
Additionally, Patrick Edward Russell was sentenced in Quesnel to 88 days in jail and 18 months of probation after pleading guilty to eight charges, including theft, prowling, and assault with a hammer. The court noted his struggles with addiction as a factor in his recent criminal activity.
