UK child exploitation legal proceedings

Overview

UK courts have processed several cases involving the possession and creation of indecent images of children.

In mid-September 2026, Warren Clark received a 12-month custodial sentence, suspended for two years, after admitting to 10 offences in Castletown. Police seized devices containing 551 illegal images. Concurrently, on the Isle of Wight, Logan Robinson pleaded guilty to four charges of making pornographic photos of children. This occurred approximately 50 days after Robinson had received a suspended sentence for similar crimes. His case has been sent to Crown Court following the discovery of 135 images via a phone monitoring system.

Later in the month, Ian Moore was sentenced to a 20-month prison sentence, suspended for two years, at Colchester Magistrates’ Court. Moore pleaded guilty to possessing indecent images, prohibited images, and extreme pornography. An investigation by Essex Police’s Online Investigation Team identified Moore in April 2024. A search of his home resulted in the seizure of over a dozen electronic devices; while investigators identified 14,168 specific indecent images, they believe the total number of illegal files in his possession could reach millions.
