Iberdrola marks 125 years with Madrid concert featuring Lenny Kravitz

Iberdrola celebrated its 125th anniversary on 27 June with a large open‑air concert at the Espacio Iberdrola Music venue in Villaverde, Madrid – the largest sustainable leisure venue in Europe. The program was headlined by Lenny Kravitz, with Spanish artists Manuel Carrasco and Ana Mena also performing, alongside appearances by Álvaro de Luna and DJ Lola Bozzano.

The event formed part of a year‑long series of festivities under the slogan “125 años de luz”, which included technology and art exhibitions, festivals and building illuminations across Spain. Ticket revenue was pledged to charitable organisations such as the Spanish Cancer Association, Action Against Hunger, Fundación Integra, Fundación Tu Techo and Betania. Free electric shuttle buses from Atocha station and enhanced public‑transport options were provided for attendees.

The Madrid concert followed a similar celebration in Bilbao on 12 June, where about 40 000 spectators enjoyed performances by Juanes, Antonio Orozco, Rigoberta Bandini and others, concluding with Spain’s largest drone light‑show involving 1 500 devices.
