IBERO Puebla and CDH Puebla partner to professionalize human rights defense
IBERO Puebla and the Human Rights Commission of the State of Puebla (CDH Puebla) have signed a collaboration agreement to professionalize the commission's staff. The partnership aims to strengthen the defense, promotion, and guarantee of human rights within the state through high-level academic training.
The agreement focuses on academic formation provided by the Jesuit University's Law Graduate Programs, specifically through the Master's in Human Rights. This initiative is designed to equip personnel with the theoretical, methodological, and practical tools necessary to address contemporary challenges in protecting civil liberties.
Dr. Alejandro Guevara Sanginés, rector of IBERO Puebla, emphasized that effective human rights defense requires professional competence alongside commitment and compassion. Rosa Isela Sánchez Soya, president of CDH Puebla, noted that the alliance will foster specialized research, experience exchange, and the development of joint academic projects to build a stronger culture of human rights in the region.
