Ibex 35 closes week down 1.06% amid market volatility

The Ibex 35 closed the week with a 1.06% decline, ending at 19,838.5 points. The weekly drop was influenced by geopolitical tensions and decisions regarding interest rates by the European Central Bank. Despite the weekly loss, the index saw a slight recovery of 0.91% during Friday's session, though Inditex was among the primary losers.

Separately, the Technical Advisory Committee (CAT) of BME has decided to maintain the current composition of the Ibex 35, Ibex Medium Cap, and Ibex Small Cap indices without changes. The committee noted that the constituent stocks have not experienced significant changes in relative liquidity. This decision ensures the current market configuration remains unchanged until the next scheduled meeting on December 10, 2026.
