IBEX 35 slips below 18,000 amid stalled Middle East talks and rising oil prices

Spain’s main stock index, the IBEX 35, fell about 0.42 % on Thursday, slipping below the 18,000‑point level that investors had been watching. The decline came as negotiations for a Middle East peace agreement stalled, oil prices rose, and the European Commission lowered its growth outlook for the euro‑area.

In the same session, market attention was also drawn to Nvidia’s earnings report, which surpassed analysts’ expectations and helped shape trading sentiment across European markets.
