IBGE advances recruitment for census roles and upcoming exams

The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) is advancing its recruitment processes for various roles. The institute is currently in the process of selecting an organizing body to manage a new selection process for 27,279 temporary census takers. The organizing institution is expected to be defined by September 2, with the official public notice scheduled for release by October.

This upcoming selection for census takers introduces two significant changes: a requirement for a high school diploma, due to the increased complexity of the Agricultural Census, and a new compensation structure consisting of a fixed salary supplemented by productivity-based variables. Successful candidates are expected to be called starting in March 2027.

Separately, IBGE is conducting exams this Sunday, August 30, for the positions of quality census agent and census analyst. The objective exams consist of multiple-choice questions covering subjects such as Portuguese, logical reasoning, geography, and technical knowledge, depending on the specific role.
