IBGE census recruitment and examination processes

Overview

The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) is progressing with recruitment for various temporary census roles. Following the objective exams held on August 30 for 1,414 Quality Census Agent and Census Analyst positions, the institute released preliminary answer keys. Candidates have the opportunity to contest these results via the Instituto Avalia website from September 1 through September 2. Appeals must be substantiated with relevant bibliography, and only one appeal per question is permitted. Preliminary results for these exams are expected on September 16.

Regarding the larger recruitment drive for 27,279 temporary census takers for the 12th Agricultural, Forestry, and Aquaculture Census, Fundação Cesgranrio has been qualified to organize the selection process after submitting the lowest bid among nine institutions. However, the finalization of the contract is contingent upon the foundation resolving pending issues with the Cadin (Informative Register of Unpaid Credits of the Federal Public Sector).

Local coordination is also underway for the 2027 census operations. In Taquara, authorities have arranged for a collection post and training facilities at the Centro Educacional Índio Brasileiro Cezar. This regional effort is expected to distribute 25 vacancies across several municipalities, including Parobé, Rolante, Riozinho, Igrejinha, Três Coroas, Araricá, Nova Hartz, and Sapiranga.
