Ibiza implements infrastructure and emergency upgrades following extreme weather
One year after the extreme weather events known as DANAs, the Ibiza City Council has presented a series of infrastructure and emergency response improvements. Mayor Rafael Triguero and Environment Councilor Jordi Grivé highlighted that the municipality has focused on anticipation and rapid intervention capabilities.
Key measures include reinforcing Civil Protection and Local Police with new specialized vehicles and equipment, such as drainage pumps, generators, and protective gear. Infrastructure works have also been carried out in areas like Es Pratet and Ses Feixes, where drainage channels were expanded to improve water evacuation toward the sea.
