Ibrahim Dohia Traoré appointed Director General of BCI Congo
Ibrahim Dohia Traoré has been appointed Director General of BCI Congo, a subsidiary of the Moroccan group Banque Centrale Populaire (BCP). The decision was made by the bank's Board of Directors on September 11, 2026, and is subject to necessary regulatory approvals.
Traoré succeeds André Gilles Ernest Collet, who is stepping down after a seven-year tenure. Traoré brings 27 years of experience spanning information technology and banking operations. Most recently, he served as Executive Director of BCP International, where he oversaw retail banking for 15 banks across 14 sub-Saharan African countries.
His background includes leadership roles at Atlantic Business International (ABI), specifically managing technological entities and information systems before transitioning to retail banking management. His appointment is expected to focus on commercial development, technological transformation, and the execution of BCP's strategic plan within the Congolese market. BCI Congo currently serves approximately 65,000 individual and corporate clients through its network of agencies and business centers.
