İbrahim Yumaklı links lasting peace to agricultural self-sufficiency

Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı stated that lasting peace is only possible when a people can sustain themselves through their own land. Speaking at the ‘Turkey Century Meetings’ in Erzincan, Yumaklı emphasized that the government is working to transform areas where security has been established into productive, revitalized agricultural lands.

Yumaklı noted that the ‘terror-free Turkey’ process is a critical turning point, aiming to restore hope for future generations and prevent the abandonment of villages and farmland. He announced a major mobilization, particularly in the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions, involving the Ministry's central organization, provincial directorates, and agencies such as the State Hydraulic Works (DSİ) and the General Directorate of Forestry to support local production.
