ICE deporta a dos inmigrantes ilegales culpables de homicidio a México

On July 21, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers from the Houston Field Office escorted 24‑year‑old Agustín Morales‑Renteria and Juan Becerra Ruiz across the Juárez‑Lincoln Bridge in Laredo, Texas, transferring them into the custody of Mexican authorities. Both men are wanted in Mexico for aggravated homicide (Morales‑Renteria) and intentional homicide (Becerra Ruiz). They had been held at the Montgomery Processing Center in Conroe, Texas, before the deportation. ICE Houston acting Field Office Director Gabriel Martinez said the operation prevents the United States from becoming a safe haven for dangerous criminal illegal aliens and provides closure for victims’ families.

In a separate case, ICE filed a detainer request for Ulises Raigoza‑Martinez, a Mexican national convicted of second‑degree murder in Nashville, Tennessee. After being sentenced to 20 years in prison, he will be placed in Department of Homeland Security custody for removal proceedings once his sentence is completed, according to DHS Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis.
