ICEE celebrates first National ICEE Day with free treats

August 18 marks the inaugural National ICEE Day, with the brand offering free small ICEEs at more than 1,800 participating locations across the United States.

Promotional offers include free small ICEEs with no purchase necessary at participating Walmart Fuel stations and Krystal restaurants. Moviegoers can obtain a free small ICEE at AMC Theatres or Regal Cinemas with a ticket purchase, while Urban Air Adventure Park guests can receive one with paid admission. Other participating venues include Chuck E. Cheese Adventure World, Santikos Entertainment, and Adventureland Theme Park.

Dan Fachner, president and CEO of J&J Snack Foods—the parent company of ICEE—stated that the new annual tradition is a way to thank fans for making the brand part of their memories. The celebration also includes a social media giveaway where participants can enter to win prizes, such as an at-home ICEE machine, by sharing photos using the hashtag #NID2026.
