Ichdii completes socioemotional training program with Sesame Workshop

The Chihuahuan Institute for Integral Child Development (Ichdii), through the Secretariat of Human Development and Common Good, has completed the first stage of a socioemotional support program. Developed in collaboration with Sesame Workshop and the MetLife Foundation, the initiative provided tools and resources to staff at childcare centers to better support the emotional development of children aged 3 to 6.

The program involved six training groups of childcare personnel, equipping them with strategies to help children identify, express, and manage emotions. This effort is part of a broader strategy involving 50 childcare centers, 150 assistants, and approximately 3,000 children across Chihuahua, Juárez, Aldama, Santa Isabel, Meoqui, Julimes, and Aquiles Serdán.

The next phase of the program will focus on monitoring the implementation of these tools throughout the school year to ensure the training is integrated into daily activities at the care centers.
