Ichiran and Japanese ramen brands expand global presence

The Japanese ramen industry continues to strengthen its brand presence both domestically and internationally. Ichiran, a prominent tonkotsu ramen chain founded in 1960, maintains its brand through a unique 'flavor concentration counter' system designed to minimize distractions and allow customers to focus entirely on the taste. The company emphasizes consistency across its locations through strict manuals and a robust management training system.

To support its workforce, Ichiran has implemented comprehensive welfare systems, including a '24-hour support team' to assist managers during their time off. The company also operates the 'Ichiran no Mori Itoshima' complex in Fukuoka Prefecture, which includes a factory, museum, and retail space.

In a separate expansion effort, a tasting event for 'Kyushu Chikuhou Ramen Yamagoya' products was held in Töv Province, Mongolia. Organized by Onono Village to support the overseas expansion of Japanese brands, the event saw positive reception, with 71.8% of approximately 300 respondents rating the taste as 'good' or 'very good.' Additionally, 83.3% of participants indicated they would recommend the product to others.
