Šid: Man killed by son after dispute over loud music

A man has died following a violent altercation with his son in Višnjićevo, near Šid. The suspect, identified as J. Đ., was arrested on suspicion of beating his father, S. Đ., and subsequently setting him on fire with gasoline.

Reports indicate the dispute began over loud music played by the son. After a physical confrontation left the father unconscious, the son allegedly poured gasoline on him and ignited it. Neighbors attempted to extinguish the flames and alerted emergency services.

The victim was transported to the Military Medical Academy (VMA) in Belgrade due to the severity of his injuries, where he later succumbed to them. Authorities are currently conducting an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the death, and the suspect has been placed in police custody.
