Rain and thunderstorms forecast for Latvia, Cyprus, and North American regions

The Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre warns of showers and thunderstorms across much of Latvia on Monday, with temperatures between 16 °C and 21 °C and cooler nights around 10 °C–15 °C. A rainy period is expected to continue into mid‑week before milder air arrives for the weekend.

In Cyprus, isolated showers and thunderstorms are forecast inland and in the mountains, with temperatures reaching about 37 °C inland, 32 °C on the coast and 26 °C at higher elevations. Winds will shift from south‑westerly to north‑westerly during the day.

Idaho will see mostly cloudy skies with occasional isolated showers and a 20 % chance of thunderstorms, while daytime highs climb to around 89 °F. Light winds will gust up to 24 mph, and the rest of the week is expected to be sunny and warm.

São Paulo experiences a weak cold front bringing light drizzle in the afternoon, with temperatures ranging from 13 °C in the morning to 21 °C later, and very low rainfall totals for the month.

In Canada’s Sault region, high pressure will keep temperatures in the low 30s °C early in the week, but moisture moving eastward from the Prairies will produce potentially heavy rain on Wednesday and Thursday, with local totals of 5–15 mm.

The Northland area of the United States will have sunny, warm conditions on Monday (highs near 80 °F) before a cold front brings a 40 % chance of strong thunderstorms and heavy rain mid‑week, with temperatures dropping to the mid‑70s °F on Wednesday and returning to the upper 70s °F later in the week.
