Idartes opens call for ‘El Cuerpo Invisible’ dance workshop

The District Institute of the Arts (Idartes) has opened a call for participation in ‘El Cuerpo Invisible’, a formative laboratory focused on corporal exploration. The free pedagogical session is scheduled for Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the Casona de la Danza in Bogotá.

Led by Colombian artist and researcher Chrystian Tamayo, the workshop will focus on physical theater and performance. The training will utilize methodological tools based on Butoh dance, body memory, breathing, and listening to encourage authentic movement. Participants will explore the relationship between stillness, intention, and scenic space to enhance the interpretive projection of dancers and actors.

Interested artists must complete a prior registration through official Idartes forms. The initiative aims to strengthen professional artistic spaces in the capital and support the independent arts sector through free workshops and knowledge exchange.
