IDF Chief of Staff vows continued pursuit of October 7 attackers in Gaza

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir stated during a visit to the Gaza Strip that the military remains committed to the pursuit of those involved in the October 7, 2023, attacks. Zamir emphasized that the IDF will continue to act proactively and systematically to prevent enemies from rebuilding strength along Israel’s borders, specifically mentioning Gaza and Lebanon.

Zamir noted that the military aims to prevent terrorist infrastructure from becoming entrenched and will seize opportunities to eliminate threats as they emerge. He reaffirmed the overarching objective of demilitarizing the Gaza Strip and disarming Hamas using all necessary means. Reflecting on the nearly three years of continuous conflict across multiple arenas, including Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and Iran, Zamir stated that the IDF remains alert and prepared, noting that the war is not yet over.
