Overview

Following the September 23 killing of Hamas finance head Muhammad Abu Alwan, the IDF and Shin Bet announced the elimination of three additional operatives on September 27.

In central Gaza, Saher Nidal Latfi Sakr was killed during an operation in the Nuseirat area. Authorities identified Sakr as the individual filmed on a motorcycle during the October 7, 2023, attacks, whom they linked to the abduction of Noa Argamani and Avinatan Or. Sakr was reportedly affiliated with international jihadist organizations and involved in weapon supplies and organizing attacks against Israeli targets.

In a separate strike, Israeli forces killed Muhammad Hamad Muhammad Gabain, a commander in Hamas’ military wing. Gabain was accused of involvement in the detention of nine Israeli hostages and was allegedly working to restore Hamas' military capabilities in violation of the existing ceasefire. Additionally, the IDF reported the death of Adi Adli Abd Al-Aaser, identified as a Hamas sniper, in a strike in southern Gaza. These operations continue amid ongoing military activity despite a U.S.-mediated ceasefire agreement.
