IDF Detains Israeli Settlers Crossing into Syria and Expands Anti‑Terror Strikes in Gaza, West Bank and Lebanon

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) placed around one hundred members of the HaBashan Pioneers settler movement under guard after they crossed the Israel‑Syria buffer zone onto the Syrian side of Mount Hermon. The activists said they were passive, but the IDF said forces used "severe force" during the arrests, confiscated phones and handed the detainees over to police, calling the breach a "serious incident" and a crime.

In separate operations the IDF reported actions on three fronts. In the Gaza Strip it destroyed an underground tunnel section over 800 m long. In Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) more than 60 suspects linked to terrorist activity were detained, and large caches of cash, weapons, drones and other material were seized. In southern Lebanon the Israeli air force carried out targeted strikes against Hezbollah operatives, command centres and a drone‑assembly facility, hitting multiple sites across Bint Jbeil, Beit Jahan, Kounine and Braachit.

The IDF said the operations aim to eliminate threats to its forces and Israeli civilians across the region.
