IDF targets Hamas commanders and operatives in Gaza strikes
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced a series of targeted operations in the Gaza Strip aimed at neutralizing Hamas commanders and operatives. Among those killed were Hani Abd al-Hai Fakhri Mazloum, a Nukhba company commander, and Hassan Zidan Hassan Deiri, a Hamas sniper. The IDF stated that both individuals were involved in the trafficking and distribution of weapons to Hamas operatives.
In a separate operation, the IDF eliminated Abd al-Fattah Abu al-Eish, a Hamas Nukhba commander accused of participating in the October 7 attacks. Additionally, an Israeli strike in the Deir al-Balah area of central Gaza targeted a Hamas military wing commander. The IDF reported that this commander was reportedly hiding within the Shuhada Al-Aqsa Hospital compound during the operation.
