IDF seizes over 240 firearms in West Bank since start of 2026

The Israeli Defence Forces reported that more than 240 firearms, along with ammunition, weapon‑making lathes and other terrorist equipment, have been confiscated in Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) since the beginning of 2026.

Operations uncovered ammunition hidden inside a hardware store in Bethlehem and a lathe used for weapon production inside a civilian building in Nablus; the owners of both sites were taken into custody. The IDF said the finds demonstrate terrorist groups embedding themselves in civilian areas and exploiting local infrastructure, and vowed to continue counter‑terrorism actions to protect Israeli civilians.
