IETAM sets deadline for electoral counselor applicants

The Electoral Institute of Tamaulipas (IETAM) has announced that the deadline for 529 applicants to resolve observations, omissions, or inconsistencies in their files is this Friday at 4:00 PM. Juan José Ramos Charre, president of the General Council, emphasized that there will be no extensions, and those who fail to rectify their documentation will be disqualified from the selection process.

The review is part of a larger process involving 1,694 citizens who applied to serve as municipal and district electoral counselors. Following this deadline, the Organization Commission is scheduled to publish lists of those who successfully addressed the requirements by September 4.

The selection process includes a general knowledge exam to be administered between October 15 and October 20 at six locations: Nuevo Laredo, Matamoros, Reynosa, Ciudad Victoria, Mante, and Tampico. The exam will be developed, reviewed, and graded by the Center for Research and Advanced Studies (Cinvestav) of the National Polytechnic Institute to ensure impartiality.
