IFA 2026 showcases shift toward dedicated AI hardware

At IFA 2026, several companies demonstrated a shift in artificial intelligence from software-based applications toward dedicated, tangible personal hardware.

OlloBot introduced the OlloNi SS1, an AI-powered ‘cyber-pet’ designed for autonomous home navigation. The device utilizes a Vision-Language-Action AI model and an ‘EmpathCore’ engine to interpret facial expressions and vocal tones. It features a unique multi-screen design and physical responses, such as leaning into users during interaction.

XbotGo unveiled the Falcon, an autonomous 4K sports camera designed to record matches without a human operator. The device uses dual lenses and AI tracking to follow action across more than 10 sports with a reported accuracy of 95 to 98 percent. To address privacy, the system avoids facial recognition.

Other hardware trends highlighted at the event include specialized AI devices like the iKKO MindOne, a compact smartphone running a dedicated AI OS, as well as smart glasses and wearable note-taking tools from brands such as RayNeo and Plaud.
