IFA 2026 to showcase smart home AI and humanoid robots
The IFA 2026 trade fair in Berlin will place a significant emphasis on smart homes, artificial intelligence, and automated living solutions. The event will feature a dedicated 'Home Appliances' show area focusing on smart kitchens, AI-supported cooking and cleaning solutions, and energy-efficient connected technologies. Major exhibitors including Miele, Bosch, Siemens, Electrolux, and Haier are expected to present new products for household and building maintenance.
In a move to address the expansion of connectivity beyond the home, the fair will introduce a new 'Outdoor Cooking & Gardening' area. This section will showcase smart grills, robotic lawnmowers, and automated irrigation systems.
Additionally, the Chinese company PrimeBOT will showcase its T1 and Q1 personal humanoid robots. The T1 is designed as a transformable robot capable of switching between two-legged walking for indoor use and four-legged movement for outdoor terrain. It is intended to serve as both an educational companion for children and an automated camera assistant. The T1 is expected to launch in the US at a starting price of approximately $5,000.
