Igli Tare appears at SPAK amid money laundering investigation

Former Albanian national football player and sports director for clubs including Lazio and AC Milan, Igli Tare, appeared at the Special Anti-Corruption and Organized Crime Structure (SPAK) on Monday. Tare is under investigation for suspected money laundering and the concealment of assets.

The investigation involves a villa in Dhërmi, which authorities suspect was hidden under Tare's name but actually belongs to former government official Belinda Balluku. SPAK has previously conducted searches and controls on two villas in Palasë linked to Tare.

This appearance follows a prior interrogation of Tare and an investigation into his brother, Agron Tare, in May. The case is part of ongoing legal proceedings involving Balluku, who is also under investigation for various tender-related irregularities.
