Igor Matovič under fire over sexual scandal allegations and campaign conduct in Slovakia
Slovak opposition leader Igor Matovič is facing renewed criticism as his party deals with multiple scandals. Former Progressive Slovakia deputy chairman Ivan Korčok was recently embroiled in a controversy, and a former OĽaNO MP now with Matovič's Hnutie Slovensko is accused in the Czech Republic of sexually targeting 13‑ and 14‑year‑old girls online. Matovič has argued that he cannot be held responsible for the actions of former members of his movement.
In Košice, city councilor Michal Djordjevič posted two videos attacking Matovič's campaign tactics. He claimed the campaign vehicle was parked in a space reserved for the interior ministry, mocked the lack of a substantive program, and said the campaign focuses mainly on criticizing Prime Minister Robert Fico rather than presenting its own policies.
