IHG Hotels & Resorts reports strong H1 2026 growth
IHG Hotels & Resorts reported strong financial results for the first half of 2026, highlighted by a 4.1 percent increase in global revenue per available room (RevPAR). Operating profit from reportable segments rose 10 percent to $665 million, while revenue from these segments grew 7 percent to $1.255 billion.
Growth was driven by strong demand across most markets, particularly in the Americas, where RevPAR increased 4.8 percent. The company also noted continued growth in Greater China and performance in the EMEAA region, which helped offset challenges in the Middle East. The global estate now comprises over 1.04 million rooms across 7,109 hotels.
During the first half of the year, IHG opened 31,500 rooms across 197 hotels and signed approximately 49,200 new rooms. The company remains on track to return more than $1.2 billion to shareholders in 2026, supported by an interim dividend increase of 10 percent and an ongoing $950 million share buyback programme.
