IIT Madras postpones GATE 2027 registration

The registration process for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2027 has faced delays. While initial notifications from IIT Madras indicated that online registration would run from August 27 to September 27, 2026, recent reports indicate that the registration window has been postponed again. IIT Madras has not yet provided a specific reason for the delay or a revised start date.

Despite the registration uncertainty, the examination dates remain scheduled for February 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21, 2027. The exam will be a Computer-Based Test covering 30 papers across various disciplines, including a newly introduced Robotics & Automation paper. Results are expected to be announced on March 19, 2027.
