İlkadım (Samsun) Expands Garbage Truck Fleet with Six New Vehicles

The İ​lkadım district council in Samsun approved, by unanimous vote, the purchase of six new waste‑collection trucks from the State Material Office – two 13 + 1 m³ units and four 8 + 1 m³ units – to strengthen its sanitation fleet. The district, which collects roughly 250‑300 tons of solid waste daily (higher in summer), aims to improve collection speed and service quality.

Mayor İhsan Kurnaz said the council’s decision reflects the city’s commitment to “provide the best service” and to keep the neighbourhoods, parks and streets clean and healthy. Ongoing municipal crews continue daily cleaning of streets, parks and communal areas throughout the district.
