Imaging World festival to relocate to Cologne in 2027

The Imaging World festival for photography, video, and content creation will relocate to Cologne starting in 2027. The organizers, Koelnmesse and RINGFOTO, announced the move during the TIPA World Awards Ceremony at the Imaging World 2026 event in Nuremberg.

From 2027, the event will be rebranded as ‘Imaging World inspired by photokina’ and hosted at the Koelnmesse grounds. Koelnmesse will take over the organizer role to leverage its international exhibition expertise and network, while RINGFOTO will remain a central partner, contributing market knowledge and industry connections. The move follows a successful 2026 edition in Nuremberg, which featured over 120 brands and covered approximately 12,000 square meters of exhibition space.
