Imaging World trade fair relocation to Cologne
Overview
The photography, video, and content creation trade fair, Imaging World, is scheduled to relocate from Nuremberg to Cologne in 2027. The announcement was made by the photography trade association Ringfoto and Koelnmesse during the TIPA World Awards Ceremony at the 2026 event in Nuremberg.
Starting in 2027, the event will be rebranded as ‘Imaging World inspired by photokina’. Koelnmesse will assume the role of organizer to utilize its international network, while Ringfoto will continue as a central partner providing industry expertise. The relocated fair aims to expand its scope to include audio, lighting, software, and various content production technologies.
The 2026 edition in Nuremberg, held from October 2 to 4, featured over 120 brands and occupied approximately 12,000 square meters of exhibition space. The event included the Neurapix Conference and a photography competition with more than 5,000 entries across action, street, and macro categories, supported by major industry partners such as Canon, Nikon, Sony, OM System, and Leica.
