Imaging World trade fair to move to Cologne in 2027

The photography trade association Ringfoto and Koelnmesse have announced that the Imaging World trade fair will move from Nuremberg to Cologne. Starting in 2027, the event will be rebranded as ‘Imaging World inspired by photokina’.

Koelnmesse will take over the role of organizer from 2027, aiming to leverage its international network to develop the event into a central platform for photography, video, and content creation. The event is intended to serve manufacturers, distributors, and brands by connecting them with professional users, retailers, and content creators.

The expanded scope of the fair will include video, audio, lighting, software, printing, smartphone applications, and various content production technologies. The first edition at the new Cologne location is scheduled to take place from September 24 to 26, 2027.
