Imathia development plan enters implementation phase

The Greek government is moving toward the implementation of a comprehensive development plan for the Imathia region. Following months of preparation and coordination between the Deputy Minister of Development, Lazaros Tsavdaridis, and various ministries, several key infrastructure and social projects are nearing official announcement.

The primary pillars of the development agenda include:

• Funding for Kouloura: Following its removal from the Recovery Fund, a tripartite funding model involving the Ministries of Finance, Development, and the Region is being finalized. • Selia Ski Center: Efforts are underway to secure appropriate financial tools to modernize the facility. • Road Networks: Pressure is being applied to accelerate the road connection between Naoussa, Veria, and the Egnatia Odos. • Agricultural Support: The government is planning the payment of compensations for damages incurred during the pre-anthic stage of 2025 and is reviewing outstanding issues related to heavy rainfall.
