IMOVEQROO launches new Payo Obispo transport route in Chetumal
The Quintana Roo State Mobility Institute (IMOVEQROO) has launched the new Payo Obispo route in Chetumal to expand public transportation coverage. The service operates from 06:00 to 22:00 with 19-minute intervals, aiming to benefit more than 26,000 people.
The route connects various sectors of the capital with key locations, including the Chetumal International Airport, Universidad Aztlán, Plaza Las Américas, and several primary schools. The service is part of the New Agreement for the Welfare and Development of Quintana Roo, an initiative led by Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa.
The route travels along Avenida Javier Rojo Gómez, connecting with Antonio Plaza, Avenida Revolución, Avenida Álvaro Obregón, and Avenida Miguel Hidalgo. It serves as a way to facilitate daily commutes to workplaces, schools, and government offices such as the Secretariat of Education (SEQ).
