Imperia and Baia e Latina host free eco-walks and cleanup marathon
The municipality of Imperia organised a free "Biopasseggiata" on Saturday 6 June 2026, a 3.5‑kilometre guided walk from the Prino stream to the sea. The event, run by the Centre for Environmental Education together with the Ligurian regional education network and the association Delfini del Ponente, offered participants scientific commentary on local streams and coastal biodiversity, aiming to raise awareness of sustainable development goals.
In Baia e Latina, the newly formed association AUTenticaMENTE partnered with Plastic Free to stage an ecological marathon in the town centre, supported by the municipal council. The activity combined a public waste‑collection run with outreach on autism awareness, involving families, volunteers and local residents. Both events illustrate community‑driven environmental education and civic engagement in Italy.
